3. Become an Umpire

Umpires Wanted - We Want You !!

The RDCA Umpires' Association is always on the lookout for new members particularly those who have played the game but have now decided for whatever reason to not continue playing. In recent years we have been well supported by a number of ex-players who have continued their involvement by joining the RDCA Umpires' fraternity.

Our ongoing training programs will compliment past playing experience making the transition much easier than those who have little or no involvement in cricket.

However, we have had success in providing non-playing cricket enthusiasts, male and female, with a means to expand their involvement in the game by guiding them through training courses and suitable accreditation courses to build their knowledge of the rules.

We rely on Club executives to take the time and canvass their members/supporters to ascertain if there's any interest from those no longer playing who want to remain involved in our great game by becoming an RDCA umpire.

Umpire payments are set annually for the various competitions such as Veterans, Men’s, Women’s and Juniors which is also affected by the number of overs on the day and whether there are one or two umpires umpiring.

We also welcome any current accredited cricket umpires who might want to participate in our competition.

So, if you know of anyone who lives within our region and is looking for a change please refer them to our Recruiting Officers:
